Spring is Around the Corner. Time to Schedule your Spring Tree Maintenance

Spring is around the corner. The sun stays out a little later every evening, and greets the day a little earlier every morning. Despite the little drifts of snow that litter the corners of yards, and staggering piles that reduce area parking lots by half, you can almost smell the approach of the new season.

With the new season, comes new activities. Many of you have been pouring through the seed catalogues for weeks, with a mind’s eyes on the upcoming dirt you can sink your fingers into. Others of you are itching to get to the sugar bush. Who can resist that sweet sap that gets turned into pure golden goodness for pancakes and the like?

Spring Tree Maintenance

At CLC Tree Services, we are thinking about trees too. Not surprising, as we think about trees a lot around these parts. This time of year especially though. After the long winter we just went through, trees are starting to wake up. Longer days of sunshine and warmer temperatures are getting the sap running. Soon the buds will start to pop open with fresh new leaves and birds will be building their nests.

Before the trees are in full leaf, you might want to assess if the winter has left any damage to your silent sentries though. Are there any damaged branches? Do you see any limbs cracked from the weight of snow? Perhaps a few snapped branches left hanging? Are any of the branches void of buds, where others hold many?

Now is the time to inspect your trees to see what kind of spring tree maintenance they might need. It is certainly easier than when leaves hide twigs, branches, and bigger limbs. Taking care of any damages keeps your tree healthier in the long run too.

At CLC Tree Services, we have been in the tree business for over twenty years, so we know a thing or two about how to maintain a tree’s health. If you think you might have an issue, but aren’t sure what to look for, feel free to give us a call at (519) 685-0257. Our certified arborists are happy to help with all your tree service needs.
