This week winter officially arrives in the Northern hemisphere. Friday will be the Winter Solstice, when the longest night occurs. Makes me tired just thinking about it. The good news about that is that from then on out, the days begin to get longer. The sun will gradually get closer and closer to us until the Spring Equinox, when days and nights are of equal length. That’ll also be when the sap starts to flow in the maple trees again, but that is still several months off. We are sure to get a sprinkling of snow or two long before that.
So aside from looking forward to Christmas in less than a week’s time, what’s new with CLC Tree Services? Well, we have had a great season for London Christmas Decor; probably our best! Add to that the fact that we have still had lots of phone calls from people requiring tree care and the CLC crew has been hopping. On any given day over the last few weeks, some of the guys have been out tree trimming and others have decked the halls of homes in London and area. We are all looking forward to a little break over the holidays next week.
Once Christmas day is done and the wrapping paper has been cleared, CLC will be back at it though. Not only do we decorate homes and businesses for the holidays, but we also return after the celebrations are done to dismantle all the holiday decor for you. No need to store lights with Christmas Decor’s services, as we take it all down and store it for you at our facilities. The boys will be back outside trimming a tree or two as well. Plus, if we get some of the snow that is possibly being forecast, we might even have to head out for some storm cleanup around the city. All in a day’s work though and we are happy to help.
Hopefully a glass or two of eggnog is in the future before then though. I like me some holiday cheer. Merry Christmas!
