While autumn is an ideal time to plant a tree, you can also successfully plant trees in the spring. The ground is still relatively moist from snow melt, trees are just starting to come out of dormancy, and insects typically aren’t an issue yet. If you can plant your trees before summer temperatures climb, your tree has a chance to establish itself as well.
Remember to always research what kind of tree is most appropriate for your space, lighting, moisture, and soil needs. If you need advice on what the best tree might be for your space, give CLC Tree Services a call. Our arborists are happy to help in any way they can, be it advice, tree selection, or even planting a tree for you. That’s what we are here for.
For those who need a few pointers before tackling tree planting themselves, this video might be just the trick. It is a short instructional video on tree planting, including some great aftercare advice. Happy planting!
Enjoy!
